A morning smoothie is a precious thing for me to add to my daily routine. You see, this smoothie in NOT your everyday smoothie; it is an opportunity for me to power pack this with the goodies I need to keep myself on top of my game.
I am more than happy to share the full ingredient details of this blend but I am very excited to add SweetLeaf Vanilla Creme to this blend to help sweeten the whole experience without having to add too much fruit or additional honey.
The SweetLeaf® range are the only chemical-free, zero-calorie, zero-carb, zero-glycemic index, natural sweetener there is. No chemicals. No alcohols. No additives that cover up the great taste nature created
They taste great and are all natural.
I also use a P protein that is probably not quite sweet enough for me so I just loved being able to add a few drops of the SweetLeaf to it instead of having to add that extra sweetener like honey.
So here it is.
My morning Smoothie recipe is:
2 scoops of P Protein
1 tblspn of cocoa
1 scoop of Super greens
20mls of Colloidal minerals
1 cup of Almond milk
½ cup of coconut water
½ cup of ice
6 drops of SweetLeaf Vanilla Crème
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high until combined.
Well worth trying – Delicious!!

I have used air fresheners in my car before and as I am sensitive to smells they have always given me a headache and I have had to remove them and live with the odours in my car (usually the dog after a beach run). The great thing about the Pure Bamboo Vehicle Deodoriser is that it removes the odours instead of just masking them and there is no smell from the deodorizer itself.
The pouches are easy to use; just pop the pouch under a seat in your car and let it do its magic. They last so long, just put them out in the sun every couple of months and they will last for a year.
As someone with a dog, a child and a sporty husband I cannot recommend the Pure Bamboo Vehicle Deodoriser enough.

The issue of Oats being labeled gluten free is quite contentious here in Australia. This is the same product that is labeled gluten free in the US, UK and various parts of the northern hemisphere. The issue if regarding the discussion around whether oats contain gluten or not.
The short is answer is every grain, including corn, which is labeled gluten free, contains protein, which is called gluten, however they all have different strains, varying levels of tolerance and detection by current testing protocols.
Oats have a strain of gluten called Avenin and by the research conducted it seems that as long as they are uncontaminated by the gluten found in the more intolerable gluten strains found in wheat, rye and barley, they can be tolerated by those who are following a gluten free diet.
The Gloriously Free Uncontaminated Oats are grown in the USA and are grown and processed in a dedicated gluten free facility. They are imported into Australia by GK Gluten Free Foods and sold at www.wheatfree.com.au. They are the only oats that show a test result on the packaging less that 3ppm which would effectively enable them to be labeled gluten free however in Australia there is an additional requirement in the labeling laws that does not allow any product that contains oats to be labeled gluten free.
The oats are thinly rolled but are not as fine as a quick oat, which still enables the product to be easily and quickly cooked up. They are very creamy in consistency and taste delicious and feel nutritious.
I would highly recommend trying this product if you are avoiding gluten in other forms. You can buy them in 500g packs and in bulk, which can save you some money.

Prior to me receiving Yeos Rendang Paste, I was aware of it but had not actually ever bought or used it. Simultaneously I had purchased a Thermomix. To my delight I saw a recipe in the book for Rendang beef, which listed of course all the ingredients to go into the dish, which of course I did not possess in my limited herbs and spices pantry.
I am fairly cautious about trying many of these blends, as I am not very confident with Asian cooking I must say. Usually Asian meals are our take out meal. Anyway I decided it was time to get creative and do something different regardless of what the family response might be.
Well I am so excited to report this trial was a success and we are now raving fans of this delicious little medley. It was so easy to be able to grab the jar and instead of having to add all the various spices suggested in the recipe, I just added the equivalent in the Rendang Paste.
I am an absolute convert Yeo’s. I loved this dish for something different in our repertoire of meal and veg dishes. I think this dish would be particularly delicious during the cooler months, as the spices were very warming.
I highly recommend and encourage anyone to grab yourself a jar of this blend to have in the fridge as you will be pleasantly surprised.
I am feeling more confident about trying the other blends after this great experience.

I hadn’t heard about this product before I bought my sample bag, but I’m glad I did as I found it very yummy. I had only tried plain risottos’ before now but the flavours in this risotto were great. The instructions were very easy to follow and I would recommend this to my friends and plan on buying it myself in the future.

I have seen the Gourmet Meals products on the What Can I Eat site and even though I am not gluten intolerant I wanted to try them to see if there was a flavor difference. I quite regularly have a frozen meal for my lunch and found the Gourmet Meals Cottage Pie to taste just as good as the non-gluten free alternatives. The pie had a lovely meaty taste and the potatoes were so creamy and delicious. I would highly recommend the Gourmet Meals range to all my friends and family whether they require gluten free options or not.
